Altruist eyes turnover of Rs. 155 Crore this fiscal

With new services in offing and expansion plans arc on advance stage. Shimla-based Altruist Technologies Pvt Ltd. a VAS (value-added services) provider to telecom players like Airtel, Tata Teleservices and Idea and having presence in 14 cities across India is aiming a turnover of Rs 155 crore in this fiscal year.

The company has plans to launch a new product 'Matrimonial on Phone' through which a mobile subscriber can apply for matrimonial matches on phone. Also, in the offing are property related services like hiring, leasing, rental on phone. Further, the company has earmarked Rs. 25 crore to expand its operations in India and overseas by taking the total head count to 800 from 450 at present.

Recently it has developed a new product through which one can apply for jobs on phone. The service is available for both job seekers as well as job providers even on phones. which are not internet enabled. Within two months of its launch about 47,000 customers have already registered themselves for this service in Pun- The company has plans to launch a new product 'Matrimonial on Phone'

BPO I-lead, Preeti Anand said, "The service is available pan India but presently we are promoting it in the northern region. The phase one of the launch is going on and then it will be popularized across all the states in the country. To make it more user friendly we have added certain verticals on specific career related queries like consultants for immigration, language barriers and counseling through our call center. The aim is to broad base the job search mechanism for people who don't have internet access".

She further stated that "Jobs on phone is one such product which shall not only create additional revenue stream for the Telecom Service Provider but also it shall be of immense utility to people who struggle to get the right candidate for the low end segment of skills like finding a right driver or an efficient CNC machine operator etc. It is also aiming at evolving this product to address the immigration and overseas employment opportunities and also planning to launch this product in the international market within a year.

Commenting upon new services that are in offing, she added, "We are planning to launch a new product through which a mobile subscriber can apply for matrimonial matches on phone called Matrimonial on Phone' and also in the offing are property related services like hiring, leasing, rental on phone".

The company has a presence in 14 cities like Shimla. Ambala, Ranchi, Lucknow. Meerut etc. across the count Further it has plans to develop its new facility spread over 4000 square meter in upcoming Panchkula IT Park with an project cost of Rs. 10 crore and also in pipeline to set up overseas offices in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia. Oman etc. It is already associated with operators in Afghanistan. Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Oman and the US.

With expanded operation and new services, It is targeting a turnover of about Rs. 155 crore by the end of this fiscal year, as compared to Rs. 56 crore corresponding period last year.
